Using Multi-Track Audio Sources

Last Updated: Apr 07, 2016 05:07PM PDT
Squeeze 11 has implemented support for .MOV source files that contain multiple audio tracks and allows you to encode those tracks when exporting to MOV or MP4 output files. The most common workflow requested with this feature is multi-language track support but can be used in other scenarios as well.

Follow these steps to use a multi-track audio source in Squeeze 11:
  1. Launch Squeeze 11 on your Mac or Windows computer
  2. Import your .MOV source file containing multiple audio tracks
  3. Right click on your Source File within the Squeeze Job Window and select the option "Source > Choose Audio Track..."
  4. You will now be presented with a dialog window titled "Multiple Audio Tracks"
  5. Select one of the following options:
    • Mux all tracks - This will take all audio tracks and combine them into a single track
    • Mux selected tracks - This will allow you to select which tracks you want to combine into a single track
    • Separate Tracks - Your exported file will contain the audio tracks separate from one another, same as your source file was setup
  6. Apply your desired preset
  7. Squeeze It!
