With Squeeze, audio and video encoding is as easy as 1, 2, 3. To begin encoding high quality videos, follow these three easy steps:

1. Import a source file
From the Input Options window, select "Import File." Then, browse your hard drive and select the source file you'd like to encode. You can Capture from a DV camera or use the Watch Folder option.

2. Choose a preset
From the Presets window select a preset that best matches your desired output format. Drag and drop or click the Apply button to apply the preset to your source file.

A preset can be thought of as an encoding "recipe" that includes all the ingredients for the highest quality video. Squeeze includes hundreds of professional quality encoding presets to take the mystery out of encoding.  Some popular presets include the MP4 “h264_1200Kbps_480p” for the internet and MPEG-2 “DVD_Disc_Burn_ES_NTSC” for DVD.  For more information see Format Presets Overview

3. Press the “Squeeze It!” button

Squeeze will begin encoding your output files. You will see an estimation of the time required to encode your file in the Job window. When the file is finished encoding you can click the thumbnail image of the video to view your output file.  It’s that easy!
