Make a HTML Embed Code for a Squeeze Stream Video

Last Updated: Nov 17, 2014 02:07PM PST
To create an HTML embed code for a Squeeze Stream video:

1. Visit the video's detail page and copy the video ID from the address bar.  For example, in this URL: ]http://360.sorensonmedia.com/detail/3fecceca-0989-11e2-ad5e-22000a1ca2e7, the video ID is "3fecceca-0989-11e2-ad5e-22000a1ca2e7" (without quotes).

2. Next, create a "redirect" URL by inserting the video ID into this URL: "http://360.sorensonmedia.com/redirector/fetchFile?vguid=VIDEO_ID" (without quotes).  For example, for the example video ID found in Step 1, the URL would be "http://360.sorensonmedia.com/redirector/fetchFile?vguid=3fecceca-0989-11e2-ad5e-22000a1ca2e7" (without quotes).

3. Finally, create an HTML5 <video /> tag and use the URL found in Step 2 for the "src" attribute.  See the Simple Example below:

Simple Example: <video src="http://360.sorensonmedia.com/redirector/fetchFile?vguid=3fecceca-0989-11e2-ad5e-22000a1ca2e7" height="360" width="640" controls>
Your browser does not support the <code>video</code> element.
</video>

4. Alternatively, if you want to use multiple video assets, create <source /> elements inside the <video /> tag.  Use the URL found in Step 2 for the "src" attribute and be sure to specify the correct value for the "type" attribute.  See the Advanced Example below:
     Advanced Example:<video height="360" width="640" controls>
<source src="http://360.sorensonmedia.com/redirector/fetchFile?vguid=3fecceca-0989-11e2-ad5e-22000a1ca2e7" type="video/mp4" />
<source src="http://360.sorensonmedia.com/redirector/fetchFile?vguid=0dff3e1e-3359-11e0-ba9e-12313804d1b3" type="video/webm" />
Your browser does not support the <code>video</code> element.
</video>
